St Nicholas church in East Dereham, is located right in the centre of the town. The tower is detached from the church and holds a ring of eight bells. The tenor weighs 22-3-21 and is tuned to 'Eb'. The bells are rung from the first floor ringing chamber and is reached by a wooden staircase in the corner of the tower. The front seven bells are cast by Whitechapel, over a period of about a century, coming under the names of Thomas I Mears, Thomas II Mears, William Mears, G Mears & Co and Lester & Pack. The tenor was, I suppose, recast in 1957 by John Taylor & Co and is a very fine bell. The peal was last rehung in 2013 by the Whitechapel Bell Foundry Ltd. They are a very easy ring of bells, and sound lovely. This video was requested by: @RingerMax09! If you'd like a certain video requested to be uploaded, do leave a comment. 8 bells, 22-3-21cwt in Eb.
