I ran a fresh install of the latest Nvidia driver and captured my screen with myself logged into GeForce Experience. I ran the scheduled tasks associated with the telemetry executable(s), and there was no network activity or process launch associated with them. The last task NvTmRepOnLogon.exe appeared to cause svchost.exe (built-in Windows process) to send data, so I tried it again and didn't see any activity on svchost.exe; it appears that was correlation only and not related. If the telemetry apps were generating network traffic, they would have at least popped up in the Resource Monitor even for a brief instant. edit: I was asked to play some games/do some browsing and provide a wireshark of these scheduled tasks. I've done so in another quick video: • GFETelemetry2 TL;DW: They appear to do nothing for now. It appears, at least with the latest drivers 375.70 and GFE 3.0.7.34, that the telemetry stuff isn't doing anything. It could be possible that the telemetry apps are sending instead through GFE (so creating local files, and uploading through GFE), but all Nvidia services had almost no (1B/sec) network traffic that was unchanged by running any telemetry task.
