Do you track your sales activity? The leading indicators are those activities that lead to a sale. Here's a tracking sheet for that. Some Client Relationship Management (CRM) software tracks these items, so this isn't meant to replace that. The spreadsheet is an easy way for a sales reps to know where they stand during the week without having to pull reports from the CRM or wait on them. ✅ Some reps only track outcomes. A sales rep can control activity but not outcomes. By tracking leading indicators, you know the ratios and what to work on to improve the outcomes. For example, how many meaningful conversations lead to setting an appointment? (close for the meeting ratio) How many presentations lead to a sale? (closing ratio) How many new clients are retained, that don't back out or get declined in credit or underwriting? (retention ratio) 🤔 Those are all worth tracking. The reason personal activities are tracked are to keep interest so the business activities are maintained. They help maintain a work-life balance too. ❓ What activities do you track?
