Have you seen the art challenges like Mermay, Doggust, Inktober where you draw or print something every day for a month? Well, Julie took it a step further. At the beginning of 2024, Julie took on a personal challenge: create one artist’s book per week and post it to her Instagram account (@julierfilatoff), both to keep her accountable and to garner feedback and encouragement. Julie figured she’d learn new techniques, skills, and structures—and she did. But she also learned some things about herself that she wasn’t expecting!
