Alpine Type R Pro 6.5" Component Review - NEW model for 2023 - R2-S652

Have you heard the new Alpine Type R Pro R2-S652 6.5" component speakers?? Holy cow, you gotta check these new Alpine Type R speakers out!!! In today's video I review the Alpine Type R Pro R2-S652 6.5" component speakers. The new Alpine R line series speakers are made of a glass woven cone and a hard dome tweeter. These are TOTALLY different materials than what we've historically seen in the Alpine Type R line. When I 1st learned Alpine was going to a hard dome tweeter I was not convinced. Hard dome is usually a bit too bright and harsh for me personally. But let me tell you. Hearing is believing! One of the reasons for the use of the hard dome material is that these Alpine speakers are hi res capable. They can play frequencies we may not necessarily be able to hear, but yet, we can still perceive them. How do these new Alpine hi res speakers perform? They sound like a specialty speaker brand. These speakers are performing somewhere between a Focal Access and Focal Flax series and some clients actually prefer these over the Focal options. Priced right in between, these new Alpine Type R component speakers are a phenomenal value which is one of the reasons I'm SO excited about them.
