The high spirited crowd at Le Stade Olympique de la Pontaise are treated to the Thrilling Intensity of the Women's 100m. The event was held at 21:07 (Local Time), the temperature was 9°C (66.2°F), and the Wind was +1.7 meters per second (+3.28 feet per second), Side Note: The Positive Sign means they have a tail wind End Side Note. The City of Laussane is located at an Altitude of 526 meters (1,726 feet) above sea level, on the shores of Lake Geneva. The event featured some of the Fastest Women in the World, eight competitors, seven of them Tokyo 2020 Olympic Finalists: Mujinga Kambundji (Switzerland) and her compatriot Ajla del Ponte, Daryll Neita (Great Britain), Marie-Josée Ta Lou (Ivory Coast), and the Olympic Podium: Gold Medalist Elaine Thompson-Herah (Jamaica) and her compatriots; Olympic Silver Medalist Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, and Bronze Medalist Shericka Jackson. Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce managed to keep her compatriots at bay to cross the finish line in a time of 10.60s a Personal Best for the Superstar. Had she been able to run this time at the Tokyo Olympics she would've been able to win the Gold Medal.
