NEW BIGGER VAN! Modest/simple DIY Build. Brave custom ventilation hole lets me (6'2") stand in a low roof Promaster 1500 118wb!!! Full roof solar (550w) + 50A DC charger keeps my 460AH Aux battery topped up but is also a functional roof rack and vent hole cover (no rain gets in even at highway speeds). No windows by design, just a rear camera. Inside a stealthy 3500 BTU AC with no exterior profile! Swivel passenger is a game changer in a small van. Full size 8" mattress cut in 3 turns to a lounger, couch and bed is a great sturdy sleep. Tons of storage upward and accessible. Excellent custom ventilation system inside for hot & humid Florida. Gravity fed 5 gallon fresh water, sink and gray water tanks easy to fill , clean and replace. I'm also good with a factory metal floor (I plan to paint gray soon) so I can stand and it cleans up easy for spray showers. Bucket toilet works great doubles as my garbage can. All my tools, supplies and even a big e-bike fit safely in the back and out of sight. Giant shelf in the top back for appliances. water tank and the A/C. Clothing bins on the walls naturally insulate and add smart storage. No cabinets, doors, or latches inside. About 90% done and have already taken a few week long trips. Left to do: Paint roof rack black Paint wheels black Paint interior floor gray Stain back of rear firewall Install bins on back doors for wet clothes and dirty laundry My favorite Florida van life hacks: Cheap, secluded, low tax off-grid Florida land right in the middle of the state 90 minutes from both coasts for storage, ground water and private space to work. Commercial looking vans with no windows for stealth that fit in regular parking spaces. Exercising the 2nd Amendment Park late and sleep in until van gets hot Park right in front retail cameras, or residential windows Washing my clothes in the gym or free water sources (including rain water), strain and place near van ventilation and rear metal doors panels does not just dry them but helps keep the van cooler. Nature during the day, City at night 2 hour lunches in air conditioning charging my technology Afternoon homemade coffee and nap parked under a tree #STANDINGPROMASTERLOWROOF #FLORIDAVANLIFE #PROMASTER118VANLIFE
