Welcome to my channel! Today, we're embarking on an exhilarating fishing adventure in the stunning Gulf of Mexico, and we can't wait to share our favorite hotspots with you! We set sail this morning from Sarasota Bay, heading southwest to a thrilling 90 feet of water just off the coast of Venice, Florida. This area is packed with incredible fishing spots waiting to be discovered! When searching for new bottom to fish, we kick things off at one of our previously marked locations. If the action is slow, we quickly switch to another promising spot on the chart plotter, cruising at under 20 knots to keep an eye on the bottom. With a little patience and exploration, you'll uncover a treasure trove of fishing opportunities! Once we pinpoint a spot, we drop the trolling motor to stay anchored. Whether you go for frozen bait or live bait caught fresh in the morning, we often start with frozen and switch to live if the bites are slow. If you hit a grouper hotspot, get ready-those bites come fast! We use circle hooks in the Gulf, so when you feel that tug, just reel in and let the fish hook itself! Stick around until the end, and we'll reveal our cleaning process and how we transform grouper collars into delicious fish dip!
