Here Dirk Ward talks about our Pet Cemetery Hearse. When we hold a funeral at the cemetery we use our hearse to carry pets on their last journey. The hearse is a lovingly restored 1966 Vanden Plas Princess R. Originally coachbuilt by Alpe and Saunders of Mayfair, London and was fully restored to showroom standard in 2011 by Dearing Classics of Bourne, Lincolnshire. The Vanden Plas carries the R designation as it uses the 4 litre Rolls Royce 6 cylinder engine, this particular car is the last remaining example of it kind in the world and has been used by TV companies in period dramas, most notably in the Netflix series "The Crown", season 3. It is also regularly used for Classic Hearse Hire at the funerals of classic car enthusiasts from all over the uk.
