Comparing the old vs new. Both are just crushing and ferocious as jp says. Compared both ch2 and ch3 against the iic++. I must say the eq has different response. To dial in the scooped sound of the jp2c, had to really put the iic++ to a big V eq. In terms of tightness, the jp-2c wins. In terms of crushing gain the iic++ wins and its tightness is just right. You would have more flexibility with jp-2c of course with separate eq and midi etc etc. I did not try the shred mode though as it really changes the sound of the jp-2c.
