Amazing Easy Electro Plating - adding a Surfactant for better DIY Nickel Plating.

https://restoreandmake.com   / restoreandmake   In this video we add a surfactant to our nickel plating solution to reduce the pitting of the surface finish experienced in our first plating video. The surfactant used is sodium lauryl sulphate, at a rate of 1gram per litre of solution. It works a treat and reduces the size and stickability of the hydrogen bubbles to a degree where they have virtually no effect on the finished plating.This has been a great bonus to my tool restoration process and if you have a tool, piece of machinery or metal item to plate and restore I suggest you give it a try.
