Building a Fun Mountain Bike Gap Jump on Bodarc Flats

Today we will build and ride a Mountain Bike Gap Jump, on our New MTB trail. I wanted to turn the ditch in the middle of our property, Bodarc Flats, into some sort of feature. Because it was over a drainage ditch the obvious choice was a double, or a jump with a gap in the middle. However it wasn't easy, as I have never built any type of jump like this ever. But we eventually got it to where it felt really smooth. Here's what I learned during this build. 1. Always, always, always make a plan first. Get all possible MEASUREMENTS before hand so you know if you have enough materials and where the materials will go. This would've saved me some work as I did not line up my jump with the trail 2. It will never be right the first time. You will always have to come back and make some adjustments. But that's ok and it's all part of the process. Thanks for building another feature with me today!
