Essay: Title: Change for a Stronger America --- Promoting Diversity and Unity in the Community Written by: Henry Michael Yim 11-Year-Old Student, Novi Meadows Elementary School "I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal." These exact words were said by one of the world's greatest civil rights advocates. His name is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. King helped people who were being treated unjustly because of their race. He rallied supporters to protest peacefully. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s legacy positions us on a path for a peaceful world. Words do matter. I propose a new motto to inspire Americans that build on this great man’s legacy. My motto is simpler but contains a very substantial value. The world in which we live could be a better place, all we need is a spark to light our fire. The spark I am proposing is this---"Change for a Stronger America” First, my motto “Change for a Stronger America” accurately represents the ideal rights of every individual American. The first part of my motto, "Change for Stronger” is designed with the colors of the American flag--red, white and blue. The second part of my motto, “America" is multicolored to represent the rainbow nation and motley of ethnic backgrounds residing in this wonderful nation. Then, it can divinely inspire many people about the constitutional rights set by our Founding Fathers. Next, people will perform random acts of kindness. The world will become a better quality place. As an example, someone viewing my motto can make better and kinder decisions. Furthermore, other people will be awarded emotional support and recognition. This country was established on people aiding each other. Next, my motto is an inspiration. According to my ELA teacher, Mrs. Erickson, “Short phrases are often better and have more impact." I definitely agree. Short slogans are easy phrases to eternally store in your brain. People remember America’s virtues because they are short phrases, like “Justice for All, Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, and All Men are Created Equal” Long speeches are hard to follow and often forgotten, but my motto can adhere to an individual's brain like a memorable catchphrase in a commercial. My motto also has the benefit of people being able to interpret it differently which will benefit more people in the long run. People can perform multiple types of kindness, instead of just one method depending on their interpretation. . Finally, my motto promotes unity in the world. My promotional motto has the exact words" Stronger America." The motto will help citizens feel unification. People can be inspired to host social events. Unfavorable attitudes can change for the good of all people. We can't overcome global problems if everyone in the world is bickering with one another. Instead, we can find ways to compromise and find solutions together. In addition, my motto can prevent problems. It undoubtedly has limitless potential to change several mindsets. The motto can be revolutionizing for the entire world. It sends positive and encouraging vibes to all. Fewer problems will result in a unified and diversified world." Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”--- Martin Luther King. His words show the power of unification. In conclusion, my official motto can transform the world in a numerous way. People will change. Friendships will start. Hatred will end. Diversity will spread. Some people will not walk into the world frightened as a skittish cat because of cruel words said to them due to their race, gender, beliefs, or disabilities. Undoubtedly, my motto can encourage that person to rise to the occasion. People will understand they are supported in a unified nation. On the other hand, the motto can reverse a hypercritical mindset. It is my hope that my motto will encourage people to help others. This is a positive solution for global unification and diversity. This motto is a golden ticket to the most peaceful and prosperous world. Free STEM Tutoring for Kids in the World. Please Subscribe Jedimatics Channel: / @jedimatics7750 Thank you.
