Peter's Confession: How the Father revealed the Truth to him

How the Father went about revealing the truth to Peter which he confessed to Jesus. The Father Himself testified to who Jesus was by speaking His words through Jesus and doing His works through the man Jesus. In this way, Jesus was a man attested by God (Acts 2:22) to the people of Israel including the Jews who killed him, and to Jew Simon Peter. The Jewish religious leaders refused to believe their own God's testimony about Jesus (John 5:32,37), but unlike them, the Jew Simon Peter did indeed believe the Father's testimony concerning Jesus. God the Father is light and he shined through Jesus, "I am the light of the world" John 8:12.
