Our patented Split Blade® bit is engineered to provide better performance, durability, and control to drilling applications. By designing Split Blade, Ulterra redesigned hydraulics to improve cuttings evacuation and prevent recirculation. This technology unleashes cutter performance by redirecting drilling energy into the formation. Split Blade is engineered with a specific inner blade geometry to create separation, providing specific flow channels to carry away cuttings more efficiently. The cutter layout was engineered to provide the cutters with greater radial freedom to help them stay cleaner and drill into new formation faster. Ulterra's Split Blade technology is also engineered with a nozzle focus, in order to ensure the cone and shoulders get fresh hydration, leading to exceptional bit hydraulics.
