If you’re visiting Phuket or Phang Nga, Samet Nangshe Viewpoint is one place you simply cannot miss! Located on a hilltop overlooking Phang Nga Bay, this spot offers one of the most incredible panoramic views in all of Thailand — especially during sunrise when mist rolls over the mangroves and the golden light hits the limestone cliffs. In this video, we take you through our complete Samet Nangshe experience — how to reach, what to expect, and why this view makes the bumpy ride absolutely worth it. 📍 Location & How to Reach Samet Nangshe Viewpoint is located about 1.5 hours from Phuket (near Takua Thung district in Phang Nga). The drive takes you through scenic countryside roads and over the Sarasin Bridge, which connects Phuket to the mainland. The last stretch is steep and uneven due to the soil — so expect a bumpy ride! You can either walk uphill for 15–20 minutes or take a pickup truck service from the parking area to the viewpoint. 💰 Entry Fee & Transport Costs Entrance Fee: 30 THB per person (for those walking up) Pickup Truck Ride: 90 THB (round trip) per person — recommended if you’re visiting with family or during sunrise hours Free parking available at the base 🕒 Opening Hours & Best Time to Visit Open daily: 5:00 AM – 7:00 PM Best time to visit: 🌅 Early morning (5:30–6:30 AM) for sunrise 🌇 Late afternoon (5:00–6:30 PM) for sunset Early mornings also offer magical views with misty clouds floating over the bay. ☕ Facilities & Tips Small café at the top for coffee and snacks Toilets available at both parking and viewpoint area Wear comfortable shoes and bring water Drone flying is allowed in designated zones (check with local staff) 💬 Our Experience The ride up may be bumpy and steep, but what awaits at the top will make you forget every bit of the struggle. The 360° view of Phang Nga Bay — dotted with limestone karsts and lush mangroves — is absolutely mesmerizing.
