Rose-shaped Dinner buns with meat and cheese 🌹Your whole family will be delighted with these buns. Golden on the outside, soft and fluffy inside — these savoury buns are filled with juicy meat, melted cheese, and wrapped into beautiful little “roses”. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a cosy dinner. __________________________________________________________ Ingredients (for 8 large or 12 small buns): (1 cup = 200 ml) Strong white flour — 350 g Water — 100 ml Milk — 100 ml Vegetable oil — 35 ml Dry yeast — 6 g Salt — 8 g Sugar — 10 g 1 egg Filling: Mixed minced pork and beef — 250 g ½ medium onion Salt and black pepper, to taste Grated Cheddar cheese — 150 g For coating: A little water for dipping Plenty of toasted sesame seeds _________________________________________________________ Method: Sift the flour into a large bowl and make a well in the centre. Add the dry yeast and sugar. Pour in the warm liquids — water, milk, and oil (lightly warmed, not hot). Wait about 5 minutes for the yeast to activate. Add salt, the egg, and knead into a smooth dough. (If it’s sticky, add a little more flour. It should be soft and elastic, not stiff.) Cover and leave to rise until doubled in size. Divide into 8 or 12 equal pieces, shape into balls, and rest for 10 minutes. Roll each ball out, dip one side in water, then coat with sesame seeds. Add filling, shape into a rose as shown in the video. Leave to rest for 15-20 minutes. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (no fan) until golden brown. ________________________________________________________________ Filling: Lightly fry the minced meat with onion, season with salt and pepper.
