Columcille Megalith Park - The Pennsylvania Stonehenge

Nestled in the hills and forests of Northeastern Pa lies a park unlike almost any other. Known as Columcille, the park is the creation of William Cohea Jr, and is said to be inspired by his visit to the small Scottish island of Iona. The park is designed to be a sanctuary of spiritual reflection and a sacred space for quiet meditation. The beautifully maintained grounds, intricate stone structures, and carefully placed monuments are certainly something to behold. The following is my subjective interpretation of these grounds. One needs to experience this place for themselves to draw their own conclusions. One thing I can say for sure is that Columcille had an almost magnetic draw for me. I simply did not one to leave this place that I can only describe as a cross between Tolkiens Middle Earth with Celtic and Pagan influences. A place of magic, mystery, and spirituality, with a touch of the unknown, this is Columcille Megalith Park- The Pennsylvania Stonehenge.
