Minimal equipment needed for this upper focused, home workout! Whether you play padel, tennis, squash, badminton or just want a good upper body session, this is for you! This video puts together a series of exercises for the upper body, specific to padel/tennis. This is a focused session, with a variety of chest, back and arm exercises. In Padel (like all racket sports) the arm goes through a varied range of motion and it is important to strengthen through this range. The rest times of 2 minutes are at your discretion, if you find the exercises relatively easy you can shorten that to 1 minute. Each of these exercises have progressions, so we will give you these in the coming days! But write in the comment section any exercises that were too easy or too difficult! Sandy focused his attention from tennis to padel in 2010, learning the game with several trips and courses in Spain. His Masters in Sports Biomechanics and Strength & Conditioning qualifications combined with playing and coaching at an international level puts him in a great position to share his insights about the training needed for padel.
