Inauguration of New Nursing College Building at SSSIHMS, Whitefield, Bengaluru | Jan 19, 2024

‪@DkshivakumarIn‬ #srisathyasai #saibaba #prasanthinilayam #nursingcollege #inauguration The Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, College of Nursing & Allied Health Sciences received Divine Blessings from Bhagawan in the form of a new dedicated building on Jan 19, 2024. The building was inaugurated by Sri D K Shivakumar, the Honourable Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka alongside revered Trustees of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust. Located within the precincts of SSSIHMS, the building was constructed by the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust at a cost of Rs 6 crores. The college has a built-up area of 23,200 square feet and comprises 4 lecture halls, each with a seating capacity of 70, and 6 spacious laboratories and a modern computer lab. Each of the lecture halls is equipped with 86-inch interactive smart boards to deliver multimedia-rich lectures to the students.  Sri D. K. Shivakumar, delivering his inaugural address, submitted that he considered it his honour to be a part of the event as a devotee of Swami. He recalled the blessing of having Bhagawan's darshan on various occasions. He narrated an incident that occurred a couple of decades ago when he attended a public event that Bhagawan had graced with His presence. In the 40-minute discourse delivered by Him on that occasion, Bhagawan explained lucidly the inner meaning of 8 slokas from the Bhagavad Gita. Sri Shivakumar recollected how it was the best spiritual discourse he had ever heard, and how it had changed his perspective of life itself. Stressing that Swami’s vision of selfless service should continue further, he assured his continued support for the institution. Since its inception in 2001, the Hospital has performed over 34,000 Neurosurgeries, 29,500 cardiac surgeries, 76,000 Cardiac Catheterizations, and 45,000 multi-specialty surgeries. It has also seen over 50 lakh outpatient consultations.
