He is the son of Jin Itadori and Kaori Itadori, and the grandson of Wasuke Itadori. Yuji was living a normal life in Sendai City until he encountered Megumi and ate one of Sukuna's fingers. After becoming Sukuna's vessel, Yuji began attending Tokyo Jujutsu High alongside Megumi and Nobara as first-year students. Remembering his grandfather's dying words, Yuji turns to Yuta Okkotsu and tells him that Sukuna is plotting something for Megumi. He mentions that Sukuna most likely took over his body in Shibuya because he ate all ten in one go and also includes that he has already eaten fifteen fingers. Yuji says he doubts Sukuna would be able to take over his body after he's eaten the rest of the fingers, however, if Sukuna is able to Yuji asks for Yuta to kill him as he believes he's able to do that. Yuji then turns to ask Megumi what he should do. Megumi says that they will go back to Tokyo Jujutsu High and contact Master Tengen. He also adds that they will need to find out how to remove the seal on the Prison Realm and Noritoshi Kamo's objectives and future moves.
