Hoh Oxbow Camping Trip

We planned on snagging an open camp site at the Hoh Oxbow Campground (AKA: “Heaven”) and even left on a Wednesday to increase our chances. Unfortunately, there were no open sites at this campground! We were able to stay the night at the entrance to the campground and the next day we kept an eye on the potential of someone leaving their site. Sure enough, our patience was rewarded and we got the perfect site! Right by the river, we found endless things to do (if enjoying the beautiful “heaven like” scenery was’t enough). We also checked out some nearby places and took a few short hikes at Kalalock Beach, Oil City Trail (which leads you to the mouth of the Hoh river), and Second Beach. There is so much to see and do in the area and it is definitely one of our favorite places to go camping.
