NEW My Merch Store: https://teespring.com/stores/tokyo-ex... Riding the Enoden (江ノ島電鉄, Enoshima Dentetsu) From Fujisawa to Kamakura. Filmed through the window to the drivers' cabin. This train is one of the most iconic and loved trains in the Tokyo Region, and also one of the oldest, commencing operations in the year 1900. A long stretch of the tracks runs alongside the Pacific Ocean Coast, giving it splendid seaside views. Other parts of the track run so close to the surrounding villages and towns that you can almost touch the houses. The entire line is roughly 10 km long, and in this video, I ride it from start to finish. Rail gauge is 1,067 mm (3 ft 6 in) and most of it is single-track. The Enoden is definitely one of my personal favorite trains in Japan, and I hope you will enjoy this ride. EN07 15:00 First View of the Pacific Ocean (Sagami Bay) 15:55 Kamakurakōkō-Mae Station EN08 17:10 Safety Check due to some issues ahead 20:10 Resume Operation 20:45 Meeting Train 22:00 Shichirigahama Station EN15 This video was shot in June 2020 Follow me on Instagram: / tokyoexplorer.tv Many of my viewers have asked how they can support my work.
