Afternoon Keynote: The future of Florida health care

In the wake of the public health emergency, along with a whole slew of other changes in the Florida health care landscape over the past couple of years, a plethora of questions remain. Not the least of which is how to address the incoming shuffles in coverage plans once the 60-day notice is given on ending the emergency. That’s not to mention social determinates, behavioral health, and the other usual suspects. Nevertheless, Florida has the resources and wherewithal to shape a positive future for itself. Today we’re joined by Beth Kidder, the Managing Principal at Health Management Associates. She helps us take the long view, as we examine some of the current trends and challenges we face in the Florida health care system. Not just focusing on negative trends - we overview some of the positive changes and directions that have occurred in Florida.
