AKG M80 MKII HEADPHONES - ARE THEY ANY GOOD?

A look at the budget friendly AKG M80 MKII headphones. These headphones are semi-closed, so they would leak more than closed back headphones. They don't leak a huge amount, so you could use these for tracking anything other than vocals or say, acoustic guitar. Things where you are really close to live mics and the overall sound level from the instrument isn't that high. They have a surprisingly good sound, very natural and full. They worked very will with my tests with the Eleven Rack. I haven't used budget headphones that ever sounded this good. Of course you can get better phones in the $150+ dollar range, and everyone should have at least one pair of quality closed back headphones, but these budget headphones are no slouch! They are not fancy, but they look good, and most importantly, you can trust what you hear. I will be using these much more than I imagined.
