I talk about the character and hero design of Overwatch in this video. The Junkrat interactions show how in Overwatch 2 the focus is on sillyness and dumb entertainment. Where Overwatch 1 tried to actually make the character deep and interesting. The issue with the ow 2 interactions are Junkrat's unability to understand anything. He feels like a child more than ever and it cheapens the character for me more than i would like. In overwatch one the interactions have depth and undertones that tell us about the character with only tone. When Junkrat says that's cold, The tone tells us that Junkrat isn't affected by Mei's comment. And in the new ones he is just an idiot. #overwatch2 #characterdesign
