During this webinar, we will discuss enucleation and evisceration techniques used to create a healthy, functional anophthalmic socket. Socket maintenance and prosthesis care will be described. Also, causes of the anophthalmic socket syndrome, socket contraction, implant migration, exposure, and extrusion, and prevention of these complications will be highlighted. Lastly, socket reconstructive techniques, volume augmentation, and maintenance of surgical results will be illustrated.
