In this summer Saturday morning walk in Volos, Greece, we explore some of the central and bustling streets of the city. Our journey begins on Iasonos street, starting from the University of Thessaly building and moving towards the harbour and Town Hall. We then turn onto Dimitriados street, browsing numerous shops and local businesses along the way. Next, we stroll through the vibrant Ermou pedestrian main market street and its lively side streets, filled with people shopping or enjoying their coffee or drink with friends and family. As we continue, we walk up Iolkou (Eleftheriou Venizelou) street, passing through Eleftherias square, where we find much-needed shade from the tall plane trees, offering a refreshing break on this hot day. Our walk concludes as we head down Kartali street, passing through Sokratous and Spyridi streets, and ending at the magnificent Metropolitan (Cathedral) church of Agios Nikolaos.
