Khimsar Assembly by-election in Rajasthan turned into a fierce battle for RLP leader Hanuman Beniwal. Known as his stronghold, Beniwal has been an MLA from this seat four times. After being elected as a Member of Parliament from Nagaur earlier this year, the Khimsar seat fell vacant, leading to this by-election. Hanuman Beniwal fielded his wife, Kanika Beniwal, as the candidate and campaigned extensively for her victory. However, Kanika Beniwal faced defeat as BJP's Rewantaram Danga won by a margin of 13,901 votes. Danga secured 1,08,628 votes, while Kanika Beniwal received 94,727 votes.
