Belinda Post is an anchor/producer for WTVQ-DT, the ABC affiliate in Lexington, KY (#63). She anchors the 10 p.m. Monday-Friday newscast on My Kentucky TV. She is available for hire immediately. Contact her directly at [email protected]. Post started at the "Q" as a fill in anchor and multimedia journalist for three morning newscasts, reporting live six to nine times daily. She has been anchoring and producing the 10 p.m. since June 1, 2015. Before coming to ABC 36 News, Post was getting her Masters in Mass Communications from the University of Florida. She was an anchor/reporter for WUFT, the PBS affiliate in Gainesville, FL, and WUFT-FM, the NPR affiliate in the same city. Post anchored a prerecorded 2 minute news brief on the cable station in Gainesville, WRUF-TV. She also taught an undergraduate lab at the University of Florida. Post produced and hosted a long form sports show for GatorVision on UF's lacrosse team called "Journey to the Top: Florida Lacrosse." In the summer of 2013 she had the opportunity to work as a freelance reporter at KAKE News, the ABC affiliate in Wichita, KS (#69). She was there on an internship and was hired her second day. She was the 2012 sideline reporter on the KSMO High School Game of the Week in Kansas City, MO (#31). Her first taste of journalism was in her hometown at WIBW-TV, the CBS affiliate and market leader in Topeka, KS. She was a freenlance journalist who covered art and human interest stories. Post interned at WCJB-TV in Gainesville, FL and on Kansas City Live at KSHB in Kansas City, MO. She was also a runner for ABC News (network) during the 2012 Republican National Convention. Post graduated from Kansas State University with Honors. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Dance & Theater with a Minor in Modern Languages.
