Video preview of "Blood and Amber", published by Sandstone Press, 2020. This epic travelogue follows the ancient amber trade route from the Baltic to the Adriatic, through the author's own family roots in Central Europe, and through some of the most volatile flashpoints of modern history, flashpoints that determined the fate of his own family. The route also follows the interface between the Slav and Teutonic realms, and for much of its length shadows the former Iron Curtain, linking the latest group of states admitted to the EU. It takes him through the wreckage of the Soviet Union and the grim relics of the Third Reich.
