Violent threats to President Donald Trump spur West Palm Beach arrest

A West Palm Beach man is behind bars after multiple alleged threats against President Donald Trump. The West Palm Beach Police Department announced Shannon Atkins, 46, was arrested after the FBI received a tip about the posts from someone who lives in Okeechobee. Late on January 19, police say a tip was given to the FBI stating that Atkins had written violent posts about President Trump on his Facebook page. Atkins was booked on charges of intimidation by written or electronic threat to kill or bodily harm another. The court ordered Atkins to have no contact with President Trump or his family, no weapons, and no access to the internet, according to court documents.
