Today’s lesson plan involved all things Cauliflower, Broccoli and Cabbage and the children participated in a fun true or false quiz to test their knowledge. We also made a harvest together - look at today’s amazing harvest of Swiss Chard! ❤️ The Call 2 Care team host an afterschool educational program at Charleston Hill Secondary School focused on The iGardi Project which leverages the water-wise vegetable gardens built on site. During the sessions, key workshops are offered that teach the children key skills on sustainable food gardening with the end result to ensure food security and an improvement to nutrition. Call 2 Care’s The iGardi Project offers an after-school program every Monday that educates learners how to grow their own vegetables sustainably and improve nutrition using our water-wise vegetable garden boxes. Call 2 Care is a Nonprofit organisation that improves lives through educational outreach projects and events.
