Welcome to the surreal gardens of Las Pozas de Edward James. It's a fantasy world tucked away in the Jungles of Xilitla, a Pueblo Magico of Mexico. Built by an eccentric Millionaire, and slowly being reclaimed by the forest, Las Pozas is one of the secrets of San Luis Potosi. It's an amazing place we only heard about by chance, but happy we could add it in... cause damn... I've never seen anything like it. Walking in the doors of Las Pozas, you begin to see a sculpture park being taken over by nature. During the hours we spent there, we didn't see very many other tours or tourists. Perhaps it's because of the labyrinth like design, but there was a lot of time we were just relaxing by the pools all by ourselves Getting to San Luis Potosí took us a little while. We drove up from Mexico City to see Las Pozas de Xilitla and Cascada Tamul. We didn't realize how much there is to see here. Puente de Dios, Sotano de Golondrinas, and much more... As a Canadian visiting Mexico, I'm not used to so much density of cool things to do.
