DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, Wild beaches of Cotubanamá National Park. Cotubanamá National Park covers not only the famous beaches of Saona Islands but also a part of Dominican Republic mainland with La Palmilla Beach. However, there are also few other beaches in the park which can be accessed by foot from Bayahibe / Dominicus (although this is a long walk and you'll need shoes/sandals to cross few rocky parts). The most spectacular ones starts about 7-8 km from Bayahibe (approximately: 18.3075, -68.7997) and countinue to about 18.2950, -68.7891. This is the longest stretch of sand with only one rocky part in between. The beach is really spectacular. No development, no people, just nature, beautiful blue sea and white sand. Note, that you can't walk past this beach and the small peninsula at approximately 18.2911, -68.7868 is the last place to which public access is allowed.
