Denali Winter Drive

Denali means “the High One” for Athabascan Indians north of the Alaska Range. Denali National Park and Preserve is located in Interior Alaska, centered on Denali, the highest mountain in North America. This tour is offered by the Northern Alaska tour company by road from Fairbanks. The round-trip distance is about 260 miles approximately. Upon Check-in in the tour company office we boarded in our tour van and started our journey to Denali National Park around 8.30 AM. We stopped in the outskirts of Fairbanks to get a glimpse of raising sun and continued. Then we spotted around 4 Moose on our way before we had our first break in the historical town of Nenana. We then continued our journey and reached the banks of River Nenana to take a small snowshoeing hike. We spent about an hour there and finally reached Denali National park. We had our lunch at Murie Center and proceeded with “The Epic” Alaskan Winter Snowshoeing hike in the Tiaga Trail. As said the trail was epic and it was well captured in the attached Video.
