Member Sophia Caramagno (Mrs. Crashkart) visited our Leonard Street Labs for several days, with a mind to make several video introducing the general how-tos of learning to sew. This series will focus on all the necessary basics one should learn when first getting into it. In this first video Sophia cuts up several different types of clothing to break them down into their most basic parts. By doing this we learn the shapes that translate across almost all types of patterns, how things are fitted for men and women, and even a little historical perspective on how certain articles of clothing have changed over the centuries.
