Colocasia are an amazing 'Elephant Ears' plant, an edible crop grown throughout Asia but varieties like Pink China are more ornamental with colourful pink stems and huge tropical foliage that looks right at home in a UK exotic or jungle garden with banana plants, cannas and Tetrapanax etc. They're like a bigger version of a houseplant for your garden, but a hardy one that should survive most winters!
