Endometriosis| Chocolate Cysts | Pelvic Pain | Dysmenorrhea Urinary bladder: Normal in outline. No wall thickening seen. No demonstrable intravesical lesion is seen. Uterus: Normal in size and anteverted in position. Measuring 7.98 x 1.8 x 3.6 cm Endometrium: Is normal in thickness (7.6 mm.) Which corresponds her phase of menstruation. Myometrium: Is homogeneous. No focal lesion seen in the myometrium. Right Ovary: Enlarged in size, There is homogeneous mass with low grade internal echoes or debris with. Measuring about 3.9 x 3.4 cm. Left Ovary: Normal in size, and echogenicity. Cul-de-Sac: No fluid collection is present in POD. Enlarged right ovary with mass lesions with history of cyclic pain suggestive of Endometriosis (Chocolate Cysts). Endometriosis (Chocolate Cysts) Cyclic pain pelvic tenderness just prior to and during menses pain not necessarily related to degree of disease. Pain may be unilateral or bilateral pain may radiate to thighs Etiology Presence of endometrial tissue in abnormal locations outside uterus Occurs most commonly in ovarian wall. tubes, broad ligament, possterior cul-de-sac.
