The PSU (Power Supply Unit) is one of the scariest parts of the build because you're dealing with actual mains power (well, on one end - the other end is low voltage power!). You also have LOADS of PSU cables with different functions - ranging from Molex to SATA and PCIe to CPU and ATX 24-pins. Also some of these cables have changed due to the new ATX 3.0 (and 3.1) specifications. So in this video I run through all the different PSU connectors, and I also explain what you need to do with each cable. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The individual timestamps for this video are: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 00:00 ATX 3.0 And 3.1 PSUs 00:28 The 24-Pin ATX Motherboard Cable 01:34 Molex - Still? 02:00 SATA/PATA/Peripherals 03:20 SATA PSU Power For Case Fans 04:02 CPU Cables 04:54 Why Two CPU Cables? 06:10 PCIe Cables/Powering GPUs 06:42 Warning About The Pigtail Connector 07:32 12vhpwr and 12v-2x6 Cables 08:59 ATX 3.1 Changes 09:22 Important Final Notes ~~~~~~ Credits ~~~~~~ Thanks to the following resources (sounds, images etc): "Pop-up Sound" by BeezleFM (https://freesound.org/s/512135/ -- License: Attribution 4.0) ---- Smooth Sailing (with Guitar) by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/...
