See what it was like to ride a cruise ship tender to shore in beautiful Bar Harbor, Maine. Our ship dropped anchor near Bar Island, with a nice view of Cadillac Mountain. We then rode the tender to shore with service provided by a local tour company. We even saw people kayaking next to Bar Island and then towards shore to town. The Royal Caribbean Adventure of the Seas was also there and we got a good look at that cruise ship as well. For us the tender docked at the western end of Town Pier, while the ones for Adventure of the Seas came in on the eastern portion. For the return tender ride, be sure that you are waiting in the right line for the right cruise ship if there are multiple ones in Bar Harbor that day!
