Core Java Introduction - Part 1- తెలుగులో Java Background: In the 1990s, Electronics manufacturers were looking for a universal software solution to control devices, i/.e a portable, platform-independent programming language for consumer electronics like set-top boxes, interactive televisions, and home appliances. The language needed to be robust, secure, and capable of running on different hardware platforms without requiring changes to the code. Write Once, Run Anywhere" (WORA) capability to fit for embedded systems, where devices used different types of processors and operating systems. Initially James Gosling, Mike Sheridan, and Patrick Naughton in June 1991 as part of a project at Sun Microsystems they started developing the language. The development team, known as the Green Team The language was first called "Greentalk", with the file extension .gt. Later, it was renamed "Oak" and became part of the Green Project. In 1995, Oak was officially renamed "Java". Java is one of the most popular and powerful modern programming languages. It follows an object-oriented programming paradigm. Java runs on billions of electronic devices worldwide. It is used by over 10 million developers globally. Note: While Java was initially designed for embedded devices, the consumer electronics market wasn't ready for the technology at the time Instead, Java found massive success in web development, enterprise applications, and mobile devices (e.g., Android). Flavors of Java Java comes in three main editions, each serving different purposes: 1) JSE / J2SE (Java Standard Edition) Formerly known as J2SE (Java 2 Standard Edition) Used to develop desktop applications, standalone applications, and core Java-based programs Includes libraries for basic functionalities such as collections, networking, multithreading, and database access. 2) JEE (Java Enterprise Edition) Formerly known as J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition). JEE (Java EE) is now called Jakarta EE (since 2019, after Oracle transferred Java EE to Eclipse Foundation). Used to develop client-server applications, web applications, and enterprise-level applications. Provides APIs such as Servlets, JSP, JPA, EJB, and Web Services for large-scale applications. 3) JME (Java Micro Edition) Formerly known as J2ME (Java 2 Micro Edition) Used to develop applications for embedded systems, mobile devices, and consumer electronics (e.g., smartcards, IoT devices). Lightweight version of Java optimized for resource-constrained environments. Java Standard Edition (JSE) Components As part of JSE, there are two principal products: 1. Java Runtime Environment (JRE) Provides libraries, Java Virtual Machine (JVM), and other components required to run Java applications. Includes core runtime features but does not contain development tools like compilers or debuggers. 2. Java Development Kit (JDK) A superset of JRE that contains everything in JRE plus development tools like compilers (javac), debuggers, and other utilities required for Java development. Java Virtual Machine (JVM) JVM is responsible for converting Java bytecode into machine-specific instructions and running the application. It acts as an abstraction layer between Java applications and the underlying hardware & operating system. JVM enables Java’s platform independence using the "Write Once, Run Anywhere" (WORA) principles Relationship Between JDK, JRE, and JVM ✔ JRE = JVM + Libraries ✔ JDK = JRE + Compilers + Development Tools #java #JavaDevelopment #JavaProgramming #javadeveloperjobs #LearnJava #JavaCoding #JavaTutorial #JavaCourse #JavaProjects #JavaTraining #JavaBootcamp #JavaForBeginners #JavaOnlineCourse #JavaFullStack #JavaInterviewPrep #JavaLearning #telugu #telangana #hyderabad #usa #java #JavaDevelopment #JavaProgramming #javadeveloperjobs #LearnJava #JavaCoding #JavaTutorial #JavaCourse #JavaProjects #JavaTraining #JavaBootcamp #JavaForBeginners #JavaOnlineCourse #JavaFullStack #JavaInterviewPrep #JavaLearning #telugu #andhrapradesh #telangana #hyderabad #vizag
