I absolutely love refried beans, and this recipe makes me very happy, it's so delicious. I pressure canned 5 pints, but you can do how ever many you want. Boil 1 to 1 1/2 bags of pinto beans for 2 to 3 minutes. Rinse and strain. To your beans add fresh copped garlic to taste - I added 1/4 cup. Then add 1 large diced onion, 1/4 cup chopped fresh Cilantro, 2 large diced Jalapenos, fresh ground black pepper and red pepper flakes to taste, do not add salt at this time. Mix well. Fill your jars with 1 in head space of your bean mixture and purified water and or the bean water from cooking. Prepare your pressure canner per the manufacturing instructions. Pressure Can for 75 minutes.
