This is my homemade Electric HERMS brewing system, capacity 80 liters ( aprox. 18 gallons) My system only uses one pump. Wort is redirected using solenoid valves. Everything is controlled by my own developed Java software called AutoBrew (Automated Brewing System). Currently in stage 3.0. The HERMS system is connected to an wireless router through an Ardunio (Mega 2560) which in turn receives commands from AutoBrew on what to do. AutoBrew can read an recipe from an BeerXml file, that has been exported from Beersmith. So in short, I design my recipe in Beersmith. Export it and open it into AutoBrew. Then I open a beer while I'm brewing!
