I was so impressed by this movie! The quality of the animation, original story, the MUSIC, and the strong characters -- it entertained me, made me laugh, and was so easy to watch. But most of all, it made me feel so proud to be Korean! As a Korean American immigrant who is Gen-X, I grew up often feeling ashamed of the language, the music, the food, the culture. I find it difficult to explain to my tween daughter what that was like, as I pack her seaweed and rice school lunch with snacks from H Mart, her sporting one of her favorite hoodies with a huge print of the KPop girl group whose concert we attended together and had a blast at. What a time to be Korean!
