Hello everyone This is a drum playthrough of Seven by Necrophagist. Since the album Epitaph came out in 2004 it blew my mind and Hannes Grossmann became one of my main influences. "Seven" always stood out by the drum pattern of the intro part. I have to say that it took me a long time to master it. But there is a little trick I apply for playing the kick drum pattern that makes it a bit more doable. It still is very difficult but it helps a lot. Here is what I do: Instead of playing all alternating hits on the kick, I play some doubles with my right foot. By doing this, you are leading all the faster kick rolls with your right foot and the whole pattern always starts with the same foot. The foot pattern: R_L_R_L_R_L_R_R_L_R_L_RLRLR_R_L_RLRLRLRLR_R_L_R_L_RLRLRL_ The gear I used for this video: Drums: Sonor S Class Pro 8", 10", 14" toms 22" kick Tama SLP G-Maple 13x7 Snare Vic Firth 5B sticks Remo Clear Emperor on toms (top) Remo coated Powerstroke 77 with clear dot on snare Factory heads on bottom Axis A longboard pedals with Trick beaters ddrum kick trigger Roland TD-6 drum module Cymbals: Amedia Vigor rock 16" and 18" crash Zildjian 21" A Mega Bell Ride Sabian 14" HHX hihat Zultan 8" rock beat splash Amedia 16" raw rock china Recording interface: Behringer FCA1616 Behringer ADA8200 Mics: Shure SM57 (snare top) Thomann t.bone DC4000 drum mic set Removing drums from original track: Audacity Mixing (no ambition of being a mixing engineer): Reaper Plugins: easymix, Fabfilter, DF-Clip
