Upon your arrival/admission to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, you will be taken to the preoperative area where your planned care is reviewed with you in detail by the surgical team, a brief history is taken by a registered nurse, and you will then have the opportunity to meet and discuss anesthesia with your anesthesiologist. Family members are not allowed in this area, except in special circumstances. An intravenous line is placed for the administration of medication and you will be escorted to the operating suite.
