Natural Resources and Environmental Science (NRES) undergraduates spend three weeks of their summer at Robinson Forest in eastern Kentucky. Often affectionately referred to as "summer camp," complete with cabins, campfires, and time to disconnect in the woods, this hands-on field experience exposes students to a wide range of environmental topics. NRES is an interdisciplinary degree program at the University of Kentucky that emphasizes experiential learning. Undergraduates are required to participate in a summer field experience either at Robinson Forest in eastern Kentucky or abroad in Costa Rica. Learn more at uky.edu/NRES.
