My EPIC Car Accident in Feb 2015!

Vehicle Collision due to snow on road. Let me preface this with... this is the only car accident that I have been in that was my fault in my car! Which this really wasn't my fault... at least not because I was driving like a moron (as there are many out there). Just circumstance due to weather conditions.... Rather than hit the car in front which could hit the DARTS bus ahead, I decided to go up the sidewalk towards the tree. Obviously didn't make it between the light pole, bus stop and towards the tree. Hit the light pole due to various factors. Funny how the pole crumbled and fell over! Didn't think I hit the pole that hard. I had no choice but to wreck my car. I could not go left into traffic. If I did, it would've been a multi-car accident which would've been my fault. I couldn't go straight else I would've caused a multi-vehicle accident (car + DARTS bus), also my fault, so I took the path that I felt would cause less damage and injury to others. The whole situation took but a fraction of a moment, but in the moment, it felt like forever as it was going in slow motion! CRAZY!!! Police showed up, looked at the situation and took my statement. There were witnesses who also provided statements. Police determined this was no ones fault and agreed that there was too much snow in that lane causing traction issues for any all in that lane. I just happened to be in a spot where I lost traction. Also, although I wrecked City Property (the light pole) I was cleared of any charges all round. My Car in this video is/was a VW Passat TDi, only had 500km on it and was only 28 days old. No one was injured. Air bags did NOT deploy, so I was injury free! Just rattled! No damage to engine, engine mounts or other frame or structural damage. All damage was internal plastics, and cosmetics. Basically everything in the front left corner. There are no critical things in that space. Insurance covered the accident. So if you happen to get in to an accident in a 2015 VW Passat TDi, know that there are no critical items in the front left of your car. If you hit it just right, your air bags wont deploy either. I was only about an inch or two from one of the front sensors, but given it was a pole, I didn't activate it. If it was a car or other larger object, it likely would've deployed the air bags. I LOVE VW!!!
