Pseudoaneurysm AKA false aneurysm is a collection of blood between the two outer layers (middle and adventitia) an artery. Usually caused by an arterial puncture or trauma (penetrating or otherwise). Ultrasound shows a pulsatile cystic lesion that fills with color and a swirling pattern creating the yin-yang or Pepsi signs. Spectral doppler shows High Velocity with a to and fro Doppler signal if located superficially there may be a palpable mass underneath the skin. There's usually a neck connecting the pseudoaneurysm to the main artery treatment usually consists of applying pressure with the transducer to occlude the neck causing the pseudoaneurysm to clot if that fails ultrasound guided thrombin injection may be performed.
